HYBIRD ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Unlike the conventional vehicles, the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is powered by a combustion engine together with one or more electric motors which actived by hundreds of battery cells. The HEV combines the advantages of high fuel economy and low emissions.
However. the hybrid electric vehicle can't be plugged in to charge the batteries. The batteries are charged by regenerative braking and the combustion engine. The hybrid system realize energy reduction during braking by its electric motor as a generator and have the captured energy stored in the battery cells.
Usually, when talk about the HEV, TOHOP is talking about the full hybrid vehicle, the fully hybrid vehicle is considered to be a more wise choice for owners travelling long distances, providing range and fuel economy at the same time. For the larger market, TOHOP manufactures replacement hybrid battery packs for these HEVs.
ALL-ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Electric vehicle, aslo kown as battery electric vehicle. It's similar to the hybrid electric vehicles, the electricity enenery is stored in the battery pack. But the vehicle is only powered by the powers transmissioned by electricity. The batteries are charged by plugging the vehicle in to an electric power station. Considering the electricity production may do harm to the environment, the all-electric vehicles are classified as 0-emission vehicles as they are required to produce no direct tailpiple emissions.
The all-electric vehicles have a shorter range than comparable conventional vehicles, besides, the access to electricity during highway is limited. However, the development of batteries will solve these questions soon.
BEVs are sold more expensive than conventional and hybrid vehicles, but the cost of them normally can be saved through fuel consumption, taxes and state incentives. BEVs may become the mainstream in the next decade due to its commerical benefit.
